What the BYD Ti7 is
The Ti7 is a large, boxy SUV with seven seats in a 2+3+2 layout, developed for export markets. In China the same car is sold as the Fangchengbao Ti7 (Tai 7) under BYD's off-road sub-brand, with five seats. It went on sale there in September 2025 and is built in Changsha, Hefei and Jinan.

BYD Ti7 warranty
In Saudi Arabia the Ti7 launch offer includes a 6-year / 150,000 km vehicle warranty, an 8-year / 200,000 km battery warranty and 6 years of roadside assistance. In the UK, BYD's standard cover is 6 years / 93,750 miles on the vehicle and 8 years / 155,000 miles on the high-voltage battery, which also applies to plug-in hybrids. Confirm the exact Ti7 terms with your dealer before you buy.
Ti7 or Fangchengbao Ti7? Why the VIN matters
Because the Ti7 is also sold in China under the Fangchengbao name, five-seat Chinese-market cars can turn up as private or grey imports. They can differ from the official export car in seating, equipment and software language, and they may not be covered by the local BYD warranty or recall programme. A VIN check confirms which version a car is, which market it was built for and when it was made.
When the Ti7 arrives in Australia
BYD Australia has not announced the Ti7 yet. BYD registered the Ti7 name in Australia in December 2025, and local media expect a launch in the first half of 2027. Pricing has not been announced; expect it to sit near the top of BYD's Australian range.
