Why the same BYD costs different amounts
Local taxes, import duties and how hard BYD is competing all play a part — but so does the specification. The UK Seal, for example, comes only with the big 82.5 kWh battery (£45,730), while Australia's entry Seal uses a 61.4 kWh pack (A$46,990). Compare like-for-like versions before you conclude one country is cheaper.

BYD is distributed in the UAE by Al-Futtaim, with a 6-year / 150,000 km vehicle and 8-year / 200,000 km battery warranty. The UAE sells models the UK and Australia don't, such as the Han and Tang, and keeps the Song Plus name.
